The MIC-2 MKII has received a new add-on module, and a new Utility Software has been developed. These updates apply to the following products: HW version 3.15 and higher. 


You can connect to the unit in two ways:
RTU (See documentation)
TCP (Modbus TCP - Explained below)

Step 1: Insert the AXM-WEB2 Module

  1. Power off the MIC-2 MKII.
  2. Remove the plastic lid on the back of the unit.
  3. Place the AXM-WEB2 module in the designated slot.
  4. Fasten the module with two screws.
  5. Power on the controller.
  6. Insert an Ethernet cable into the module.

Step 2: Set the Protocol

  1. Press the 'H' and 'V/A' buttons simultaneously for 1 second.
  2. Release the buttons – the ‘Meter’ cursor will start flashing.
  3. Use the 'P' or 'E' button to move the cursor to ‘Setting’.
  4. Bypass addresses and password by pressing ‘V/A’.
  5. Enter "SYS" by pressing ‘V/A’.
  6. Press the 'E' button until you reach 'S37 PROTOCOL 2'.
  7. Set the Protocol to "Other" using the 'P' or 'E' button.
  8. Press ‘V/A’ to confirm.

Step 3: Set the Baud Rate

  1. Navigate to "S03 BPS2" using the 'P' button.
  2. Enter the menu by pressing 'V/A'.
  3. Scroll to "115200" and confirm with 'V/A'.
  4. Perform a power cycle
    • Navigate to "S54" and select “YES” using 'V/A'.

Step 4: Set Up the IP Address

  1. Press 'H' and 'V/A' simultaneously for 1 second.
  2. Use the 'P' or 'E' button to move the cursor to ‘Setting’.
  3. Bypass addresses and password by pressing ‘V/A’.
  4. Enter "NET" by pressing ‘V/A’.
  5. Menu NO1: Set DHCP to “MANU”.
  6. Menu NO2: Set the IP address (Default: 169.254.162.200).

Step 5: Connect to DEIF Multi Instruments Software

  1. Run the program as Admin (Recommended).
  2. Set your PC to the same IP range as the unit.
  3. Open settings in the software.
  4. Select Modbus TCP.
  5. Enter the unit's IP address and save the settings.
  6. In the menu, hit the checkmark and press Connect.

Now your MIC-2 MKII is successfully connected to the WEB2 module via Modbus TCP! ?

 

Note: If you are using an OLD WEB module on a new MIC-2 MKII the baud rate must be set to 38400.
