CODESYS Setup Guide for AMC 300, AMC 600, AWC 500, and iE 250

1. Installation

To install CODESYS and the required setup, please follow the official guide available on the product page:
"CODESYS Guidelines for AMC 300, AMC 600, AWC 500, and iE 250"

2. Hardware Preparation

First, wire the power supply to the unit.


3. Opening the Project

  1. Open your project in CODESYS.

  2. Go to the Device page.

  3. Click Scan Network.

  4. Select the device from the list and click OK.
    Note: If you have not yet set up a device user, you will be prompted to do so. Set it up now.

  1. Log in to the device

  2. You are now connected and ready to proceed with the setup.

4. Setting Up the I/O Interface

A. Add Local DIO/AIO

  1. Click on the Device.

  2. Click Add Device.

  3. Navigate to Miscellaneous.

  4. Select AIO DIO (Red) — this represents the local DIO and AIO located on the base unit (iE 250).

B. Add MIO Board via EtherCAT

  1. Go to the EtherCAT Master section.

  2. Select EtherCAT Master (Blue).

  3. Add the MIO Board under EtherCAT_Master.

You should now see the I/Os available on the MIO board.

5. Accessing and Configuring I/Os

  1. To access the I/Os on the DIO and AIO:

    • Go to Internal Parameters.

    • Navigate to the relevant Slot and select Board.

  2. The I/Os are now ready for use in CODESYS.

  3. Within the Parameters, you can also configure DIOs to function either as inputs or outputs.
